3 of my favorite NFL Futures Props!

The 2023-2024 NFL Season gets started tonight, 9/7 at 8:20 ET on NBC in a showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Detroit Lions. There's something in the air today, and you can just tell that football is back! Each of my Blogs thus far has been from a Fantasy Football and Draft Rankings perspective. This time around, its time to gamble! I thought it would be fun to pick my favorite plays from 3 categories:

1) NFL Season Long Award

2) Season Long Parlay

3) Long Shot Straight

1) AP NFL Defense Rookie of the Year - Jalen Carter + 700 (on FanDuel)

I'm still blown away that Jalen Carter fell to the Philadelphia Eagles with the 9th Pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Reuniting with former Georgia teammates Nakobe Dean and Jordan Davis, as well as being drafted with Nolan Smith, and being paired with the Veteran mentorship by guys like Fletcher Cox and Brandon Graham - I feel Carter landed in the best possible environment to help him develop and succeed both on and off the field.

It took 1 play for Jalen Carter to showcase his ability. During the Ravens / Eagles Preseason game, he nearly sacked backup QB Josh Johnson on a powerful right arm sweep brushing aside backup RG Ben Cleveland. Ben Cleveland is 6' 6" and 370 pounds, and Jalen Carter moved him aside like he wasn't even there. This guy is an absolute beast. Check out the clip here: Jalen Carter Shows DOMINANT Pass Rushing Ability 😳 Carter's strength and off the ball quickness are going to make him an absolute force this year on an already dominant Philadelphia Eagle's pass rush. The Eagles are going to feast on opposing QBs this year, and there will be plenty of sacks to go around. This award is determined by a 50-person panel of Associated Press (AP) members voting, and they love a good pass rush.

2) WR 1,000 Yard Parlay - 5 Legs

The reasoning for this is pretty simple, I ranked my Top-36 Wide Receivers and these are my guys! (Read here: https://www.smacky-the-frog.com/post/wr-rankings-top-36_ DJ Moore has done it in almost every year with terrible Quarterback play in Carolina. George Pickens is primed to Breakout this year at Wide Receiver, and he wouldn't have to take that big of a leap from his 800 yard rookie season.

I think Calvin Ridley is going to have a stellar year, and you can really see that in my WR Rankings where I have him ahead of ECR. Devonta Smith and AJ Brown already surpassed this mark in 2022, and I expect them both to perform again in 2023.

3) Chicago Bears to score 1+ Rushing Touchdown in every Regular Season Game +7000 (on FanDuel)

I think this bet is worth a couple bucks if you somewhat buy into the Justin Fields hype train. I'm still not overly convinced Fields can be an elite thrower this year, but I do believe he takes a step forward now that he has a legitimate WR1 in DJ Moore. I think the Bears Offensive will be more capable this year, but I think the bulk of their scoring happens on the ground, with Fields still needing more time to develop his passing.
